Position Overview:
As a key member of the Human Resources team, you will support various HR functions including recruitment, payroll processing, benefits management, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain personnel records in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Screen applications, conduct interviews, manage candidate documentation in the recruitment system, perform background checks, and provide hiring recommendations based on established guidelines.
  • Communicate job offers to candidates, coordinate pre-employment screenings, and facilitate new employee orientation. Prepare orientation materials and inform staff about schedules and necessary information for effective onboarding.
  • Administer Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Leave of Absence (LOA) processes for plant personnel. Collaborate with Corporate HR to ensure timely and accurate paperwork handling. Educate new employees about benefit options and assist them in completing necessary forms.
  • Review and verify payroll data, including overtime and absences, ensuring accurate entry into the payroll system.
  • Oversee the implementation of hourly wage increases and ensure timely completion of performance evaluations for management and support staff.
  • Record attendance and manage attendance-related infractions, maintaining accurate records of hours worked for each employee.
  • Manage inventory of issued equipment, ensuring proper documentation and tracking for accuracy.
  • Perform various clerical tasks, including auditing reports, data entry, filing, scanning, and responding to inquiries.
  • Assist with the job bidding process and provide support to employees on HR-related matters, including self-service programs and time-off requests.
  • Fulfill all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Skills and Competencies:

  • Basic computer skills and proficiency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Demonstrated Abilities:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong mathematical skills and organizational abilities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
  • Bilingual capabilities are preferred.
  • Maintain confidentiality with professionalism.
  • Consistent and punctual attendance is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Office environment.

Experience: Previous experience in Human Resources is preferred; however, candidates with payroll or similar administrative experience will also be considered.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required; a minimum of two years of college education is preferred.
