About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ground Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Delta Air Lines, Inc. as a Stationary Equipment Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of stabilized stationary machinery and equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our ground support systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on passenger loading bridges, air handler hoses, gear boxes, and other equipment
  • Inspect and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Work with a team to troubleshoot and resolve issues with ground support equipment
  • Report any issues to GSE Supervision and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree or related military experience preferred
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in an industrial powered mechanical environment
  • Ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States
  • Proficient in English and ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, manuals, and schematics
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to respond to customers' needs with minimum direction and perform repairs in time-sensitive situations
