Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ground Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Delta Air Lines, Inc. as a Ground Support Equipment Technician. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as experience in vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment, including inspections, troubleshooting, and component replacement.
  • Assist Lead Ground Maintenance Technicians and other team members as needed to ensure efficient and effective equipment operation.
  • Complete data entry and record work assignments to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree or related military experience preferred.
  • At least 6 months of experience in vehicle or heavy equipment maintenance environment.
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States required.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 70 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Detailed understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, manuals, and schematics.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
