Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Office Engineer to join our team in Rancho Cordova, California. As an Office Engineer, you'll play a vital role in executing the construction of water and wastewater projects, providing office engineering, project administration, document control services, and technical support.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Construction Manager with day-to-day management of construction projects.
  • Review and analyze project documents, including drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance and identify any potential issues or conflicts.
  • Review, log, and maintain project-related documents, including daily inspection reports, test reports, meeting minutes, schedules, RFIs, submittals, progress payment applications, and change orders.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and recommendations concerning construction issues under the direction and supervision of the Construction Manager.
  • Utilize project/construction management software and tools, such as MS Office, Procore, and Adobe Acrobat.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field or construction management.
  • 0-2 years of experience as an Office Engineer, preferably with knowledge of water/wastewater projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of rail construction techniques, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively manage potential issues that arise in construction.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with application safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
  • A valid driver's license.
