About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Training Specialist to join our team in Cypress, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with a passion for teaching and mentoring others. This role involves extensive travel to provide training to customers and internal technicians on the West Coast, including California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and informative training sessions on the maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical and electrical equipment to customers and internal technicians.
  • Develop and continually improve training materials, including presentations, manuals, and hands-on exercises.
  • Travel to customer sites and internal offices to conduct training sessions, typically Monday through Friday.
  • Collaborate with other trainers and subject matter experts to ensure consistency and quality of training content.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to technicians and customers to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in the development of online training materials, including videos and learning management system (LMS) content.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure training remains relevant and effective.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and educate a diverse audience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a technical trainer, field service technician, or similar role.
  • Experience in the food and beverage industry, including cheese, bakery, meat, or pet food.
  • Background in industrial settings, such as manufacturing or production.
  • Familiarity with video editing and audio/video equipment.
  • Military experience with a focus on training and leadership.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as mechanical or electrical engineering.
