POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Facilities Operations Coordinator, you will be tasked with ensuring the cleanliness and appeal of facilities and grounds at the center. Your responsibilities will include overseeing locker room maintenance and event setups, playing a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for all. The position requires availability during weekday evenings and occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

  • Organizes work schedules to meet cleanliness standards
  • Evaluates facility conditions and identifies necessary repairs
  • Manages locker room operations and upkeep
  • Assists with inventory management and ordering supplies
  • Establishes and enforces safety protocols across all areas
  • Engages in preventive and corrective maintenance activities

COMPENSATION:

$ Incentive; Non-Exempt; Part Time (up to 25 hours/week)

REQUIREMENTS:

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with one to three years of relevant experience and a solid understanding of facility and grounds cleanliness. Previous supervisory experience is advantageous, as is the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups. Proficiency in computer use and familiarity with various software applications are required, with preference given to candidates with prior experience at YMCA.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION:

  • CPR Certification within 60 days
  • First Aid Certification within 60 days
  • AED-Oxygen Certification within 60 days
  • Blood Borne Pathogen training
  • State of Michigan criminal background clearance (ICHAT)
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This role involves reading and understanding instructions, effectively presenting information to small groups, problem-solving, and engaging in physical tasks such as walking, lifting, and occasionally climbing. The work environment may vary, including exposure to wet conditions and mechanical parts, necessitating a degree of physical endurance and adaptability.

TRAVEL:

Occasional local travel may be required for educational purposes.
