About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Catering Operations Coordinator to join our team at ASM Global. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of catering operations for various events and functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating catering operations for events, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with clients, food and beverage managers, and kitchen managers to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the rotation of products, manage inventory levels, and ensure proper storage and handling of food and beverages.
  • Staff Management: Assist in supervising catering staff, providing guidance and support as needed, and ensuring that all staff are following established procedures.
  • Problem-Solving and Customer Service: Analyze and resolve guest and associate problems in a timely and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Menu Knowledge and Training: Develop and maintain knowledge of menu offerings, packaging, and pricing, and provide training to staff as needed.
  • Event Execution: Assist in ensuring the successful execution of events, including routine checks of food standards, room setup, and on-time service.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with food and beverage service experience required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent customer service, communication, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, move around the facility, and lift up to 40 pounds, with regular exposure to food and chemical products.
