We are seeking an experienced EHS and Quality Manager to join our team in the North Sub-Region. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance on environmental, health, and safety matters.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and leadership on EHSQ matters, including training, site assessments, and incident investigations.
- Lead and coordinate direct field support on environmental, health, and safety activities, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
- Develop and implement EHSQ training programs to ensure regulatory compliance and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop customized risk management plans to mitigate high-risk activities.
- Review and improve EHSQ processes to address trends in incident data and lead their implementation.
- Provide support during regulatory inspections and EHSQ audits, ensuring full compliance with environmental and worker safety regulations.
- Represent Air Products on external bodies and regulatory groups, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of EHS practices and issues.
- Assess and develop regional and local risk management plans, leading incident investigations and collecting sustainability metrics.
- Establish EHSQ methodologies and practices for facility outages and repair projects, ensuring safety planning and execution.
- Support EHSQ due diligence activities for acquisitions and develop robust EHSQ integration plans.
- Coach and support leadership teams, site leaders, and operations on EHSQ issues, concerns, and questions.
- Develop and implement efficiency strategies to meet company profitability objectives.
- Develop the vision, prioritization, and roadmap for EHSQ initiatives within the Sub-Region.
- Engineering, occupational health and safety, or technical undergraduate degree (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical).
- Qualification in EHSQ or equivalent experience (CSP, ASP, SMS, etc.).
- Minimum 7 years of multi-layered field safety and EHSQ management experience in a sophisticated petrochemical, refinery, industrial gas, or related facility.
- Proven understanding of legislation and compliance strategies (OSHA, EPA, DOT) and knowledge of process safety management.
- Good understanding of EHSQ monitoring programs, including leak detection and repair, source emission testing, and industrial hygiene monitoring.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, customer relations, and problem-solving/analytical skills.
- Proven track record of working in a matrix organization, across functions and reporting relationships.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Hands-on and proactive approach with clear accountability in steering the sub-regional EHSQ team members, processes, and strategy.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to build trust and confidence with frontline workers, supervisors, and management.
- Confident, bold, self-motivated approach, and flexible attitude.
- Ability to overcome obstacles to solve problems and achieve results.
- Personal dedication to continuous self-development and flexibility to work outside normal working hours to meet commitments.
