Position Overview:

The Landscape Operations Supervisor role is fast-paced and involves overseeing all facets of landscape maintenance operations and crew support. This position offers a dynamic work environment with significant control over team activities. Success in this role requires a solid understanding of landscape proposals, effective training and support for maintenance teams, and innovative problem-solving to meet client expectations. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities of Landscape Operations Supervisor:
  • Communicate and uphold the company vision, policies, procedures, and safety/training programs to all team members.
  • Understand job specifications and ensure compliance with quality and efficiency standards.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal work schedules. Create, communicate, and maintain schedules for maintenance tasks on all assigned projects. Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials as necessary.
  • Conduct inspections of equipment and vehicles to ensure proper maintenance.
  • Respond promptly to client requests. Manage operational challenges and swiftly implement creative solutions. Work proactively with the Client Management team to address client concerns when needed.
  • Lead and manage multiple maintenance teams. Participate in the recruitment and successful onboarding of new team members. Foster growth and development through training programs and succession planning. Provide coaching and timely feedback to enhance performance. Oversee and implement performance improvement processes as required.
Education & Experience Requirements for Landscape Operations Supervisor:
  • High School diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of supervisory/management experience with a proven track record of training, nurturing, and developing employees while identifying leadership potential in others. General knowledge of irrigation systems and turf management programs.
  • Possess relevant operating and/or applicator licenses required for the geographical area of responsibility.
Skills & Abilities Requirements for Landscape Operations Supervisor:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and perform several activities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability and responsibility for all self and team activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information to all levels of leadership, team members, and clients, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and trust when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Experience with Aspire is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a reasonably clean driving record.
