Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our team, you will:

  • Evaluate GN&C system requirements to ensure compliance through thorough analysis and review of test reports.
  • Assess fault tolerance safety requirements and communicate findings to relevant safety panels.
  • Identify performance issues related to GN&C/RPO and propose effective solutions.
  • Provide updates on compliance reviews to program management.
  • Conduct performance evaluations on GN&C data from visiting vehicles.
  • Analyze Monte Carlo trajectory simulations to support mission planning.
  • Contribute to the development of operational products, including flight rules and demonstration plans.
  • Support real-time monitoring of GN&C missions during operations.
  • Collaborate with a diverse technical team across various disciplines.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support team objectives.
Qualifications

This position is open to candidates with varying levels of experience. We encourage applicants with:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution and 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in orbital mechanics and GN&C principles.
  • Knowledge of entry, descent, and landing GN&C methodologies.
  • Experience in developing GN&C algorithms and conducting spacecraft system analysis.
  • Familiarity with GN&C hardware and software design, verification, and testing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidates may also possess:

  • A Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on GN&C.
  • Experience in spacecraft rendezvous and proximity operations.
  • Familiarity with NASA practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as LINUX, Python, and C/C++.
  • Experience with MATLAB and simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git/GitLab.
