Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Customer Experience Associate - Cashier to join our team at the Exchange. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, and maintaining a welcoming environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level customer satisfaction through excellent service, greeting each customer upon contact and/or line of sight, and assessing their needs to suggest alternative options and provide resolution.
  • Assist customers with product selection, operate a cash register, self-checkout cash register, or other sales-related equipment to enter new accounts, conduct sales, refunds, or similar transactions.
  • Verify and accept multiple tenders for payment, make change with accuracy, and troubleshoot basic issues as needed.
  • Actively communicate and promote the benefits of the branded credit card, exchange protection plan, and other corporate programs to customers to drive sales growth and increase customer brand loyalty.
  • Report complaints, shrink issues, and problems with products, services, and work areas, and assure compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations.

Requirements

  • Able to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Able to think quickly on the spot to answer customer questions.
  • Willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store, as needed.
  • Must possess a welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and other team members.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Retail experience preferred.
