Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver administrative support aligned with established operational directives.
  • Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, coupled with extensive technical expertise in governmental hardware and software systems.
  • Adapt to varying position requirements based on system complexity and organizational size.
  • Possess a solid background in the specific hardware and software utilized by governmental entities.
  • Oversee and manage one or more mid-range application servers.
  • Review program operating instructions to ascertain equipment setup and functionality.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of assigned applications and storage devices to identify hardware or software failures.
  • Implement standard procedures to maintain operations during system malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with software engineering or programming teams to address errors requiring modifications to operational instructions.
  • Maintain detailed records of machine performance and production metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active DoD Top Secret Clearance, with the capability to obtain a Top Secret / SCI clearance upon hiring.
  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of relevant experience; a Master's degree with three years of experience; or a PhD with no related experience.

Certification Requirements:

  • DoDD M IAT II
    AND one of the following:
    • MCSA relevant to the candidate's work area OR
    • VMware Certified Associate (VCA) OR
    • VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA) OR
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft Certified Associate relevant to work area OR
    • MCSA Server 2012/2016 OR
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate OR
    • MCSE relevant to the candidates work area OR
    • AWS Sys Ops Administrator Associate OR
    • Nutanix Certified Professional OR
    • MCTS: SCCM

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Installation of operating system software, patches, and upgrades.
  • Analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of system hardware, software, and networking challenges.
  • Configuration, optimization, and monitoring of operating system software and hardware.
  • Execution of system backups and recovery processes.
  • Conducting server builds and maintenance.
  • Providing Systems Administrator support for systems managing complex operational databases and software configurations.
  • Maintaining file servers and network access; documenting and troubleshooting system anomalies to ensure optimal performance.
  • Supporting Identity Management roles and policies, ensuring synchronization of Active Directory/Global Address List.
  • Ensuring data integrity by evaluating and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
  • Supporting Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) roles and troubleshooting related server and client issues.
