We are seeking a highly skilled Sepsis Coordinator to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will play a critical role in the oversight and coordination of interdisciplinary team efforts regarding sepsis management. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in clinical practice and leadership to drive quality improvement initiatives and enhance patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide information and resources for patient care, providing inservices and formal presentations on topics related to sepsis management.
• Interpret CMS regulations, monitor compliance of quality reporting, query CMS, and abstract cases related to sepsis.
• Collect and analyze data on sepsis trends, entering data into databases and registries for benchmarking purposes. Participate in performance improvement activities to promote quality patient care. Analyze data for trends and make revisions to patient care protocols as needed.
• Communicate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for clinical teams, ensuring data-driven decisions enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Report status of CMS and organizational goal compliance to leaders.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from a state-accredited school of professional nursing.
• Five years of professional nursing experience, with Critical Care or Emergency Department experience preferred. Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen Coach training also preferred.
• Strong leadership skills, ability to influence leaders and lead complex projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and education. Facilitation skills and presentation skills required.
• Salary: $41.25 per hour (Hiring Range), based on experience and internal equity.
