As a Clinical Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in promoting the delivery of quality care to patients by adhering to therapeutic standards and ensuring that medication management practices are aligned with company policies and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct supervision of nursing staff, including RNs and LPNs, to ensure continuity among nursing teams and clinical pharmacy operations.
  • Manages recruitment, payroll, and performance processes for all staff under direct supervision.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of medications, documents administered dosages, and maintains absolute accuracy in daily accounting of medications supplied to patients and maintained in inventory.
  • Implements infection-control policies and protocols, medication storage procedures, and policies regarding controlled substance regulations and confidentiality.
  • Tracks Prescription Monitoring Program based on company policy and state mandates.
  • Coordinates care with outside physicians to ensure proper protocols are followed for patients.

Requirements:

  • Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state in which work is being performed.
  • 3+ years of progressive professional-level experience in the Nursing field, preferably with previous nursing experience.
  • Knowledge of medications, their proper dosage, effects, and contraindications.
  • Able to organize assigned work, make verbal/written reports and documentation, prepare and maintain reports of shift activities and individual progress.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience. The salary range reflects the importance of this role in managing clinical pharmacy operations and ensuring the delivery of quality care to patients.
