Job Overview

The Fountainview Center LP is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Supervisor to oversee the housekeeping department. This role is crucial in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow both oral and written directives effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive material safety data sheets.
  • Organize and uphold all necessary documentation for the housekeeping operations.
  • Develop and implement efficient cleaning schedules for the department.
  • Conduct interviews and hire qualified personnel to execute cleaning schedules.
  • Orient new staff members regarding their housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Supervise cleaning practices in alignment with facility policies.
  • Oversee waste disposal methods according to established guidelines.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and usage of housekeeping equipment.
  • Identify and report areas needing repair to administration.
  • Distribute housekeeping supplies and equipment in a cost-effective manner.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs for housekeeping staff.
  • Adhere to the facility's safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate reliability and punctuality by consistently attending work as scheduled.
  • Accept assigned tasks in a collaborative manner.
  • Take responsibility for the information in the employee handbook.
  • Execute all assigned duties in a timely and professional manner.
  • Observe infection control measures diligently.
  • Uphold Residents' Rights policies at all times.
  • Ensure the safety of residents in relation to housekeeping tasks.
  • Comply with all facility policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional related duties as directed by the supervisor.
  • Assume Quality Assurance responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance while at work.
  • Work cooperatively with residents, their representatives, facility staff, and external service providers.
Qualifications

The primary purpose of this position is to establish and maintain effective systems for the housekeeping department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while meeting the needs of residents in a cost-effective manner.

Experience Required

A minimum of 5 years of experience in Housekeeping or Environmental Services is required.

Delegation of Authority

This position is empowered to:

  • Implement housekeeping policies and procedures that meet residents' needs in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Determine staffing requirements for the housekeeping department.
  • Establish a monitoring system for housekeeping operations and recommend improvements to ensure compliance.
  • Supervise all aspects of the housekeeping department's operations.
  • Order or requisition adequate supplies for the housekeeping department.
