We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EVS Department Manager to join our team at ABM Services. Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide direction, motivation, and guidance to the Environmental Services team to achieve established standards and meet or exceed customer satisfaction.
- Operations and Planning: Plan and administer activities of the Environmental Services associates to ensure continuous operation and timely delivery of services. Establish priorities, assign work, and monitor performance, quality, and timeliness.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate clearly and effectively with direct reports, hospital teams, and interdepartmentally. Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
- Fiscal Accountability: Assist in ensuring that the assigned site is operating within established budgetary guidelines. Facilitate, create, distribute, and maintain all necessary reports and documentation.
- Data Utilization and Process Improvement: Assess and utilize appropriate data to improve operations. View everything with a process improvement mindset.
- Service Excellence: Support the implementation and administration of HSS Patient Experience Program. Promote a customer service mindset at all times to both internal and external customers.
- Human Resources: Develop and coach associates to ensure fullest potential is reached. Oversees the recruitment, hiring, training, development, performance evaluation, and management of employees within assigned departments.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant management experience is acceptable.
- Job Knowledge/Experience: Minimum of three years of proven work experience in a leadership role within the healthcare field is required. Experience directing/managing a unionized workforce is strongly preferred.
- Other: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and other business software.
