Hydro-Environmental Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead Environmental Consultant with over 10 years of expertise in the environmental sector.


This position entails leveraging technical and business acumen to deliver innovative solutions across various industries, including environmental, chemical, commercial, manufacturing, government, energy, finance, insurance, and legal.

This role is fully remote.


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing consulting projects, excel in collaborative multi-disciplinary teams, and demonstrate proficiency in analyzing and communicating complex information. They must effectively engage with agencies, organizations, and individuals to facilitate informed decision-making.

The successful applicant is also expected to possess comprehensive project management skills and foster collaboration with colleagues across the organization.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Client Engagement & Communication:
Act as the primary liaison for clients and stakeholders, providing consistent updates on project progress and results.

Collaborate with project teams, including environmental engineers, geologists, and technicians.

Convey intricate technical information to clients and stakeholders in a clear and straightforward manner.

Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:
Coordinate with regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals, permits, and closure documentation.


Prepare and submit detailed reports, including site investigation findings, risk assessments, remedial action plans, progress updates, and closure documentation.

Stay informed and up-to-date on environmental regulations and guidelines.

Remediation Strategy Development:
Formulate and execute effective remediation strategies based on site investigation outcomes and risk assessments.


Design and oversee the implementation of remediation techniques, which may include excavation, soil vapor extraction, groundwater treatment, in-situ bioremediation, or other suitable methods.

Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, guidelines, and permits throughout the remediation process.

Site Investigation:
Manage and conduct thorough site assessments to identify potential contamination sources, evaluate risks, and develop appropriate remediation strategies.

Collect environmental samples, including soil and groundwater, and analyze them following established protocols and regulations.


Perform data interpretation, risk assessments, and modeling to ascertain the extent and nature of contamination and its potential impact on human health and the environment.


Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control measures to guarantee accurate and reliable data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Conduct regular audits and reviews of project activities to ensure compliance with project plans and regulations.

Promptly identify and address any deviations or discrepancies in project execution.

The Ideal Candidate should possess:
Current Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license

Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related discipline.

Over 10 years of experience in site investigations, remediation, and third-party evaluations

Thorough understanding of environmental regulations, guidelines, and best practices related to contaminated site remediation.

Exceptional project management capabilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams.

Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with environmental sampling techniques and laboratory analysis methods.
