Position Overview

As a vital member of the finance team, you will support various aspects of Cash Management, Compliance, and Corporate Finance functions. Your responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Executing cash management functions across multiple company systems.
  • Overseeing the money pool process and cash accounting activities within the Treasury department.
  • Assisting with cash forecasting, letters of credit, and financing processes as required.
  • Generating monthly and quarterly corporate finance reports, including key reports for executive leadership and investor relations.
  • Participating in diverse projects and undertaking additional duties as assigned, while identifying and leading initiatives to enhance, automate, standardize, or simplify financial tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties
  • Assess the daily cash position for Vistra Corp. and its subsidiaries.
  • Manage the money pool process, including the preparation and reconciliation of transactions for daily and monthly reporting.
  • Prepare and submit annual FBAR filings.
  • Review and analyze intercompany governance to ensure compliance with processes and objectives.
  • Initiate and release Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT).
  • Conduct bank verifications to meet SOX requirements.
  • Collect and verify financial data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance team members to enhance the quality of financial reporting and assist during audits.
  • Prepare documentation for letters of credit and guarantees to support business needs.
  • Provide analytical insights for financing needs and assess new financing opportunities.
  • Oversee term loan and revolving credit assignments.
  • Conduct quarterly reporting on key metrics for the banking group.
  • Assist in developing financial models for evaluating transactions involving equity, debt capital markets, and project finance.
  • Prepare responses to requests for information related to SEC reporting and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports for the executive team and assist with quarterly earnings releases.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of Vistra's liquidity and cash forecasting model under the guidance of the Sr. Treasury Operations manager.
  • Support due diligence processes to ensure the accuracy and relevance of information presented by management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 5 - 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong accounting knowledge, particularly in G/L debits and credits.
  • Proficient in corporate finance and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accuracy in a dynamic environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in the energy sector is preferred.
