Position Overview:

As a Cloud Systems Administrator, your blend of interpersonal skills and technical knowledge positions you as a vital asset, adept at addressing various challenges. We are in search of a systems administrator to construct and oversee a system that empowers DoD entities to harness Cloud technology, minimize data center reliance, and significantly bolster overall security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate maintenance operations, including assessment, integration, deployment, administration, testing, and management of networks, systems, and subsystems within a virtual and cloud-centric framework.
  • Configure and sustain operational environments across Windows, Red Hat Linux, and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Utilize DoD ACAS and HBSS tools to conduct system security evaluations and implement group policy modifications, alongside executing maintenance scripts and tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with Information Assurance teams to monitor system activities and adjust configurations in response to security challenges and mandates.
  • Oversee data storage, management, and system backup processes, while supporting Microsoft IIS and SQL applications, and managing network traffic, routing, firewalls, and load balancing devices.
  • Design, develop, and execute system modifications and enhancements, ensuring compliance with necessary cybersecurity workforce certifications.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in implementing and configuring IT infrastructure systems, encompassing operating systems, applications, databases, and virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with a diverse array of technologies and products, including VMware ESXi, Windows, network switches and routers, next-generation firewalls, VoIP technologies, security appliances, load-balancing hardware, and various supporting software applications.
  • Experience in constructing, delivering, and managing Cloud IaaS environments utilizing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2, Network, ELB, S3, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency with multiple operating systems, including Red Hat Linux and Windows Server 2016.
  • Experience in a DevOps setting with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab, or automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
  • Knowledge of DoD security implementation, including STIG and security tools such as HBSS, ACAS, SIEM, and Cloud security best practices.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD8140 or Security+ Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with DevOps and automation frameworks, including Chef, Docker, Puppet, or Jenkins.
  • Experience in scripting or software development, particularly with PowerShell or Python.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • AWS or Microsoft Cloud Certified Associate or Professional Certification.

Clearance Requirements:

Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.

Compensation:

Compensation at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The projected salary range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 annually. This estimate reflects the typical salary range for this role and is one component of Booz Allen's comprehensive compensation package.
