Position Summary:
RMC is seeking a Virtualization Systems Administrator to deliver administrative support for an enterprise-level virtual Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) environment.

The chosen candidate will oversee the functionality and performance of a comprehensive virtual environment that encompasses both traditional vSphere setups and VMWare Cloud Foundation (vCF).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer multiple VMWare ESXi environments across the RDT&E enterprise.
  • Support vCF components, including SDDC Manager, vCenter Server, vSAN, and NSX.
  • Facilitate the virtualization of Windows Servers, desktops, and Linux-based virtual machines.
  • Assist in the integration of vSphere with Windows Active Directory.
  • Monitor and enhance performance, including virtual disk space, CPU/Memory utilization, storage capacity, and the availability of virtual systems.
  • Collaborate with Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) to implement and uphold cybersecurity standards, including NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation (C&A) Standards.
  • Provide support for ACAS/Nessus vulnerability scanning.
  • Execute general IT tasks, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and security within classified or unclassified network environments.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively within RDT&E settings.
Qualifications:

A high school diploma along with three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience in infrastructure, operating systems, and system administration is required.

The selected candidate must possess DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE).

Clearance Requirement:

An active DoD Top Secret clearance is necessary to commence employment. The selected applicant may undergo a security investigation and must fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
