Position Overview:
The Virtualization Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the organization's virtual IT infrastructure. This role involves the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of network, server, and storage systems utilizing VMware technologies.
The primary duties include ensuring strong security protocols, maintaining regulatory compliance, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing backup and recovery strategies, and maintaining thorough documentation.
Key responsibilities also encompass providing end-user support, resolving Local Area Network challenges, managing software licensing, conducting PC maintenance and upgrades, configuring desktop systems, and executing additional related tasks as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Substantial experience with VMware virtualization platforms.
- Proven track record of executing at least one server migration between data centers, preferably transitioning from VMware to Azure Cloud.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing the Office 365 suite.
- Experience in overseeing and maintaining Azure environments.
