The specialist will also mentor team members to cultivate a culture of high performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Efficiency:
- Ensure that all incoming materials are received and stored in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Identify and report any discrepancies in receiving.
- Monitor shipping claims until resolution.
- Conduct monthly counts and reports of raw materials and packaging inventories.
- Ensure that inbound purchases and shipping schedules are adhered to.
- Utilize planning tools to confirm that purchases align with forecasted demand based on lead times.
- Manage shipping container assignments to facilitate timely shipments.
- Track container ship departures and progress to ensure prompt arrivals.
- Report any unexpected variations in purchase quantities and lead times.
- Maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
Continuous Improvement:
- Develop and implement best practices for material handling, receiving, and auditing.
- Measure time savings achieved through process enhancements.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction within receiving, storage, and auditing operations.
