h3Job Description/h3pUkrop's Homestyle Foods is seeking a skilled Inventory and Receiving Specialist to join our team at our Bakery (Freezer) located at 2020 Westmoreland St. This is a 1st shift position reporting 5am - 1:30pm./ppAs an Inventory and Receiving Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the warehouse runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include shipping, receiving, organizing, and distributing products throughout the plant. You will also be responsible for operating a forklift and pallet jack to move and store products, as well as assembling pallets while maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment./ppbKey Responsibilities:/b/pulliMaintain positive communications with the Logistics Transportation Departments/liliMaintain positive relationships with departments and delivery drivers/liliMaintain high sanitation standards and follow a daily cleaning schedule/liliOperate forklift and pallet jack or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods/liliMeet departure time of transportation, facilitating products throughout the kitchen and Bakery to appropriate departments/liliEnsure raw materials (including packaging materials) are staged and available to the production area and meet food safety and quality standards/liliApply internal lot codes to all incoming food and packaging cases/liliAssist in ensuring that the SQF system is in place and that we follow all aspects of HACCP plan, SSOPs, and GMPs throughout the plant/liliExamine shipment contents and compare with records such as; manifests, invoices, or orders and verify accuracy/liliManage and ensure the accuracy of documents/liliOperate machinery when necessary/liliPerform physical activities that require considerable lifting, bending, and handling of materials/liliReport all food safety issues to an immediate supervisor/li/ulpbRequirements:/b/pulliHigh School education or equivalent/liliForklift/ pallet jack experience is preferred/lili2-3 years of previous Inventory/Receiving experience is preferred/liliKnowledge of safe storing and handling procedures of various foods and chemicals/liliThe ability to arrange things in a certain pattern/liliAbility to effectively communicate with supervisor and coworkers; and follow safety and chemical guidelines/liliAbility to work flexible schedules as needed for production and/or holidays/li/ulpbBenefits:/b/pulliAffordable healthcare upon eligibility/liliCompany-sponsored Life Insurance/liliShort-Term/Long-Term Disability/liliCompany 401(K) upon eligibility/liliPaid Time Off/liliBirthday PTO/liliAssociate Referral Bonus/liliCompetitive Salary/liliand more/li/ulpUkrop's is an Equal Opportunity Employer/p
