Job Description:
Position: Senior Custodial Supervisor
Compensation: $14.00/hour
Schedule: Part-Time, 4PM - 10PM

I. PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Under the guidance of a facility manager, this role entails overseeing cleaning and maintenance operations within a municipal or commercial setting. The Senior Custodial Supervisor will have direct custodial responsibilities for a large facility or manage multiple smaller locations, leading and participating in the activities of custodial staff while performing related duties as necessary.

II. REPORTING STRUCTURE:
A. Reports directly to the Custodial Manager.
B. Collaborates closely with fellow custodial maintenance personnel.
C. Maintains professional interactions with all building occupants.

III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists in formulating and executing departmental policies, procedures, and work standards.
  • Provides leadership and direction to custodial staff.
  • Maintains an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Ensures proficiency in all cleaning techniques and equipment utilized by the team.
  • Conducts inspections to ensure quality standards are upheld.
  • Recommends improvements in supplies, equipment, or procedures to enhance safety and reduce costs.
  • Fosters positive working relationships with other departments.
  • Delivers ongoing technical training to custodial staff.
  • Documents and reports any unusual incidents to the Manager, completing necessary Incident Reports.
  • Ensures regular testing and maintenance of equipment, reporting any issues to the Manager.
  • Schedules staff to ensure adequate coverage for custodial services.
  • Conducts orientation and continuous training for team members.
  • Maintains records of training and service programs.
  • Ensures custodial areas and closets are organized and that safety data sheets are current.
  • Implements safety measures, ensuring no hazardous items are left unattended and that cleaning carts are monitored.
