Job Summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team in supporting the Federal Aviation Administration. This position will be part of our Radar Team and will provide critical hardware support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support in Radar technologies and practices for the testing of the NAS large-scale real-time system.
  • Assist engineering teams by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Work under direct supervision and team environment.
  • Support field personnel with technical expertise.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and assist in implementing solutions to enhance productivity.
  • Develop and update technical documentation for systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support technical needs and align solutions with organizational goals.
  • Stay current with industry trends and new technologies to continually improve technical skills and knowledge.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Reorganize storage areas to optimize space for future parts and system support modifications.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to meet project deliveries and deliverables.
  • Track preparation and delivery status of required deliverables.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required and one year of related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering software and tools, and experience with troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Ability to travel at short notice to provide 2nd level engineering support and/or to do new installations.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to approach technical problems methodically.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, etc. and knowledge of personal computer, hardware/software.
  • Test equipment knowledge a plus (e.g., Oscilloscope, DMM, or Spectrum Analyzer).
  • Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust.
  • Permanent Residency or US Citizenship required for the FAA Public Trust Clearance.
