Position Overview

The Manufacturing Supervisor plays a crucial role in fostering and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders that pave the way for future business ventures. This position enhances profitability and broadens existing partnerships by promoting ICU Medical products and extending connections into new sectors with potential clients. The ideal candidate should be located in the San Francisco area, overseeing territories that include Northern California, Northern Nevada, and Hawaii.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets for ICU Medical's Critical Care product line, which encompasses both invasive and minimally invasive hemodynamic monitoring technologies, devices, and systems; vascular and cardiac catheters; closed blood sampling systems; and various temperature management and pain management products.
  • Demonstrate exceptional presentation skills and possess in-depth technical knowledge of ICU Medical's product range to effectively communicate clinical advantages to healthcare professionals.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and strategically position ICU Medical's offerings against rival products in the market, serving as a clinical expert and consultative problem solver for clinical and supply chain contacts.
  • Familiarize yourself with the assigned territory, customer base, contracts, and distribution models.
  • Conduct trials and oversee the implementation of all ICU Medical Critical Care products.
  • Build relationships with local professional organizations and understand the market dynamics and key clinicians.
  • Align sales strategies with company and regional objectives through effective communication with management.
  • Be prepared to work during weekends or evenings as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Critical Care and Anesthesia medical device sales is essential.
  • A strategic mindset with the capability to develop and implement a business plan aimed at increasing market share among influential accounts.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving results through data-driven continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and professional, with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities to convey ICU Medical's Critical Care value proposition to diverse decision-makers.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device sales is necessary.
  • Background in Anesthesia or Critical Care products is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales quotas and developing customer relationships within the supply chain.
  • Compliance with all credentialing requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination, is mandatory to fulfill the essential functions of this role.

Work Environment

  • This position is primarily field-based.
  • Work may be conducted from a home office or on-site at customer locations.
  • The role may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking based on customer needs.
  • A valid driver's license is required, and adherence to the Authorized Driver Policy is necessary for driving on behalf of the company.
  • Travel is expected to exceed 50% of the time.
  • A strategic approach to developing and executing business plans is essential for increasing market share among key accounts.
  • Strong communication skills are vital for articulating ICU Medical's Critical Care value proposition to a wide range of decision-makers.
