We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Team Leader to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our Meat Department, you will be responsible for leading a team of Meat Team Members and ensuring the highest level of customer service and product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Meat Team Members to achieve sales and profitability targets
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ordering, and merchandising to maximize profit margins
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Collaborate with departmental and store leadership to achieve business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • 24+ months retail experience, including 12+ months of team leadership experience
  • Advanced knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management
  • Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
  • Certified Meat Journeyman or equivalent training
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift 50 pounds, and stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday. The ideal candidate will be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
