Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisory General Attorney to serve as a Branch Chief in our office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel and guidance to our staff, as well as overseeing the management of our branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to staff on complex tax law matters
  • Oversee the management of the branch, including supervising staff and managing budgets
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to achieve organizational goals
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations, and provide training and guidance to staff as needed
Requirements
  • Active membership in good standing of the bar of a State, U.S. Commonwealth, U.S. territory, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico
  • At least 1 year of general professional legal experience, plus 3 years of professional legal tax experience
  • Experience with criminal tax law, the Federal Rules of Evidence and the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, or professional experience with Internal Revenue laws, regulations and decisions applicable thereto
