About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Subsurface Utility Engineering Technician to join our team at T2 UES, Inc. in Fridley, MN. As a key member of our SUE field tech team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality utility locating and designating services to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Learn and operate SUE utility locating and designating equipment, including pipe and cable locators and non-destructive vacuum excavation.
  • Conduct utility investigations using various tools and equipment, including jackhammer, pogo-tamper, concrete saw, compressor blower, vacuum hose, air lance, and hand tools.
  • Drive commercial motor vehicles, with the ability to obtain a DOT medical card for CMV operation.
  • Complete daily logs of work performed, including simple mathematics.
  • Perform daily basic vehicle maintenance and safety set-up and maintenance of traffic operations under direct supervision.
  • Assist with survey and data collection tasks, supporting overall crew activities.
  • Perform daily routine maintenance of equipment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical (U.S. only).
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card for CMV operation (U.S. only).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical movements necessary to operate heavy tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all climates.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, by company vehicle or commercial airline, up to 2 week continuous stay.
  • Good oral communication skills and attention to detail.
  • OSHA Safety certifications are a plus.
  • Prior utility-related experience is a plus.
