As an Engine Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft engines, modules, components, and accessories, ensuring compliance with established company standards, contractual obligations, and airworthiness regulations.

You will perform technical troubleshooting, utilizing your mechanical skills and extensive product knowledge.

Adhere to all required standards while executing assigned tasks, demonstrating appropriate competencies in accordance with FAA Regulations, OEM manuals, and related documentation.

It is essential for the incumbent to fulfill all training requirements outlined in a specific Training Matrices chart for each position.

Disassemble and assemble various models of turbine engines following the prescribed sequence, using aircraft tools, balance machines, surface grinders, drill presses, and other equipment for repair and/or overhaul.

Inspect engine parts upon receipt, employing precision measuring tools to identify physical defects such as cracks, burns, foreign object damage, and structural deviations.

Assess engine components to determine their repairability; utilize micrometers and other precision measurement tools to decide on routing to other destinations or for scrapping.

Conduct inspections of aircraft engine parts to perform necessary NDT requirements.

Utilize relevant database systems to retrieve information regarding parts inventory, manufacturing models, serial numbers, and other pertinent details to ensure accurate documentation.

Refer to technical publications, specification sheets, and other regulatory requirements to confirm that all tasks are completed in the correct order and properly signed off.

Customer interaction and travel (up to 25% of the time) may be necessary.
General facility upkeep and maintenance are also part of the role.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in gas turbine engine/components maintenance and repair.
Previous experience in engine maintenance within the aerospace sector is required; proficiency in computer skills is essential.
Consistent attendance and punctuality are expected.
Near clarity of vision is necessary for detailed engine and document analysis.

The role involves dexterity, requiring the use of fingers for tasks such as turning switches or shifting gears, emphasizing fine motor skills.

This position demands careful attention to detail while performing duties under typical mental stresses associated with intricate mechanical and technical work.

Engine shop environments include:

hoists, heavy components, chemicals, and fluids, with the use of precision instruments, stringent housekeeping, and safety regulations to observe and maintain.

The work environment may involve brief periods of elevated noise levels due to engine testing.
