As an Aviation Engine Technician, you will:
- Maintain, repair, and overhaul aircraft engines, modules, components, and accessories to meet established company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize mechanical skills and extensive product knowledge for technical troubleshooting.
- Participate in cross-training for complementary skills to support production needs.
Essential Duties:
Adhere to all required standards while performing assigned tasks, demonstrating appropriate competencies in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM manuals, and related documentation.
Complete all training requirements outlined in the specific Training Matrices chart for your role.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting troubleshooting and repairs on turbine engines, both on and off wing.
- Disassembling and assembling various turbine engine models using specialized tools and equipment.
- Inspecting engine parts for defects using precision measuring instruments.
- Evaluating engine components to determine repairability and routing for further action.
- Performing non-destructive testing (NDT) on aircraft engine parts as required.
- Utilizing database systems to manage parts inventory and documentation.
- Referring to technical publications and specifications to ensure compliance with procedures.
- Engaging with customers and traveling as necessary (up to 25% of the time).
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in gas turbine engine maintenance and repair.
Experience with turbine engines in the aerospace sector, particularly with Honeywell, Rolls Royce, or Pratt and Whitney, is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- FAA Power Plant license required or must be obtained within one year of employment.
- FAA Airframe license is preferred.
- Proficiency in computer skills is necessary.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and specifications.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with peers and clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
