About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grant Manager to join our team at the Armed Services YMCA of The U S A. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission by securing funding and resources to support our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Donor Engagement: Conduct thorough research on individual donors, cultivate relationships, and provide stewardship to enhance donor retention and support.
  • Grant Development: Research, prepare, write, and submit grants for the organization, and coordinate monthly tours.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning, set fundraising goals, and assess fundraising strategies.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with the Executive Director to create and manage the fundraising budget, establish specific outcomes, and develop an evaluation framework to assess the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Community Engagement: Communicate with participants and stakeholders to garner community support.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in business administration or a related field is required. Four years of related experience, including knowledge of long-range planning, annual giving, foundation/corporate solicitations, sales, management, and communications is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills. Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to meet with people with ease. Strong organizational skills, well-disciplined, and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines. Accurate and detail-oriented with strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Traits: Passionate about driving impactful fundraising efforts. Ability to soar independently and collaborate seamlessly with the team. A passionate, positive self-starter who thrives in a cross-functional team environment.
