Program Manager for Veterans Grants and Per Diem

As a Program Manager for Veterans Grants and Per Diem, you will oversee the Grant & Per Diem (GPD) program at Interfaith Community Services. Your responsibilities will include grant compliance, supervising staff, and performing related work as required.
- Supervise all program activities, including outreach, enrollment, placement, training, and follow-up for VA grants to ensure all projected goals are met for GPD programs.
- Provide assistance to the management team in grant writing and program development.
- Assist in providing marketing strategies and advertising for VA programs.
- Establish connections and relationships with private and public veteran service agencies.
- Coordinate with the VA to ensure program compliance and enhance collaborative efforts in grant activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods, assess and monitor staff workloads, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide leadership to program staff, conduct meetings and trainings to ensure program compliance and enhance staff skills.
- Establish connections with private and public agencies, including departments within the agency, to best meet the needs of clients and programs.
- Utilize the Coordinated Entry System.
- Collect and report program data, including VA and HMIS reporting and funders' required data.
- Attend and participate in program, agency, and community meetings and trainings.
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as scheduled to the Associate Director.
- Complete and verify monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as scheduled to the Contract Administrators, funders, Associate Director, and Department Director.
- Monitor staff job performance, complete evaluations, ensure ongoing staff training and development, and participate in the hiring of staff for the department.
- Monitor in-house databases (Excel and HMIS, CIVI and ETO) to ensure timely and correct data input.
- Provide assistance to the Director in grant writing and program development and special projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you will:
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Have a Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field, preferred.
- Have 3+ years of experience working in a Social Services or nonprofit setting.
- Have 1+ years of experience in a supervisory role or increasing responsibility.
- Be bilingual (Spanish/English), preferred.
Location: Oceanside, CA/On-Site
Salary: $66,560-$72,000
Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm
