Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic individual with a proactive approach to fill a newly established sales role. This position will initially focus on managing existing accounts to gain insights into our operations, followed by a strategic shift towards expanding our client base across North America. You will collaborate closely with team members both domestically and internationally, reporting directly to the Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate new customer relationships and market opportunities for petrochemical products in North America to drive sales growth.
- Conduct thorough market research to understand supply and demand dynamics within the U.S. market.
- Build and nurture new client partnerships.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and sales quotations.
- Engage regularly with customers to assess their needs, provide tailored solutions, and enhance client relationships.
- Analyze industry trends and data to inform pricing strategies and optimize sales performance.
- Generate reports on sales achievements and manage the sales pipeline effectively.
- Utilize Salesforce for maintaining a robust sales funnel, focusing on targeted and qualified prospects.
- Oversee logistics and shipment processes through the SAP system to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Manage accounts receivable to minimize aging and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Collaborate with headquarters to explore opportunities for business expansion.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3-5 years of relevant sales experience in the petrochemical or chemical industry, or in B2B technical product sales.
- Proven problem-solving skills, ability to meet deadlines, and capacity to deliver insightful analysis.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with global stakeholders in marketing, engineering, R&D, and production.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Familiarity with SAP (ERP) systems is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated success in an entrepreneurial setting.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating performance metrics.
- Basic understanding of company policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of competitive products and industry trends.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 45 pounds.
- Flexibility to work in various environments, including manufacturing settings.
