This role is integral to the Central Engineering Department within ORCM Facilities and Construction.

The selected candidate will oversee and coordinate the process engineering resources within ORCM.

This leader will prioritize and schedule all assigned projects while managing personnel and contractors to ensure that all facilities are designed for safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient operation, in compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise team members and manage programs related to performance management, compensation planning, and professional development.
  • Utilize key performance indicators to evaluate group performance and set team objectives.
  • Collaborate with various leads, managers, and stakeholders to enhance process design and troubleshoot issues.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets while working with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Engage in project technical reviews and risk assessments to ensure safe, efficient, and economical facility operations that incorporate best practices.
  • Ensure the use of standard designs to improve capital efficiency and reduce project execution time.
  • Provide process technical support, guidance, and mentorship across ORCM.
  • Challenge project assumptions to maximize value through critical assessments.
  • Establish industry best practices and standard operating procedures for the engineering team.
  • Act as the primary contact for all process engineering inquiries that support various ORCM groups.
  • Encourage and recognize continuous process improvement and the implementation of new technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company health, environmental, and safety training requirements.
  • Provide support for the central engineering manager during their absence.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas sector, with at least 10 years in process engineering.

A proven track record of innovation and cost-effective engineering, coupled with a strong technical understanding of engineering disciplines and oil and gas production processes.

Excellent leadership, communication (both written and verbal), consensus-building, and mentoring abilities.

Demonstrated capacity to perform under pressure, utilizing robust process engineering skills while managing multiple concurrent projects.

Ability to formulate technical and economic recommendations with limited information.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Proficient influencing skills and a demonstrated ability to engage with customers and clients in a professional manner.

A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating with all organizational levels.

Familiarity with relevant industry regulations (ASME codes) and safety standards (API 520 / 521 / 14C).

Technical Proficiencies:
  • Proficiency in process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS, Promax, PipeSim, etc.).
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project.
  • Basic understanding of automation and electrical design principles.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Management of Change (MOCs), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs), and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs).
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
