YOUR ROLE

As a Culinary Supervisor, you will be instrumental in realizing the Executive Chef's vision while infusing your passion and enthusiasm into the kitchen environment. You will lead a revitalized kitchen team and contribute to the reimagined menu for our Kitchen and Bar concept.

Your role combines enthusiasm, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of our extensive culinary offerings. You will educate, train, and engage your team, all while fostering a positive atmosphere that makes work enjoyable. We value loyalty and commitment to excellence.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

You possess a solid understanding of the culinary business, with over one year of recent experience in a supervisory role.

You are a collaborative team player, ready to lend a hand wherever needed.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in the daily management of kitchen personnel.
  • Implement the Chef's vision and menu.
  • Continuously train cooks on new products and recipes.
  • Engage in ongoing personal development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the Chef to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Adhere to SafeServe practices to ensure responsible food service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
  • Support the Executive Chef in scheduling kitchen staff.
  • Exhibit a sense of ownership for the establishment.

Hotel Performance

Ensure exceptional guest experiences that contribute to high performance ratings according to established standards.

Qualification Standards

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.

A minimum of two years of experience in a culinary environment.

Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.

Clear communication abilities.

Corrected vision within normal range.

Proficient in using kitchen tools and machinery safely.

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Willingness to work long hours as required.

Mental Demands

Ability to make sound judgments quickly.

Capability to collaborate effectively in a high-demand kitchen setting.

Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

Self-sufficient, able to take and provide direction.

Skilled in managing diverse personalities within the kitchen and broader community.

Effectively handle challenges in a high-pressure environment.

Proactively identify, prevent, and resolve workplace issues as they arise.
