Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Processing Archivist, Art Collections to join our team at Stanford University. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our extensive art collections, ensuring their accuracy and accessibility for researchers and scholars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective metadata standards and practices for art collections, utilizing EAD and MODS schema.
  • Collaborate with departmental stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new descriptive practices.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in digital asset management and metadata creation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in metadata creation and management, with a focus on art and cultural heritage collections.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
