Position Overview:

Mud Pie is seeking an experienced Assistant Designer to join our Women's division. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and stylish accessories that align with our brand's aesthetic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends to inform design decisions
  • Develop and execute designs for biannual collections, including flat sketches, print/pattern design, and graphic design
  • Collaborate with the Women's Design team to create cohesive and visually appealing collections
  • Source and manage fabrics and trims, ensuring high-quality materials and timely delivery
  • Work closely with overseas vendors to execute designs and manage sampling and development processes
  • Develop and maintain technical packs for accessories, including handbags, hats, and jewelry
  • Ensure all design and production submissions meet quality and aesthetic standards
  • Support the development team and sales team by preparing visual tools and presentations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in fashion design and/or graphic design
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Suite
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain and build relationships with overseas vendors
  • High level of creativity and understanding of the Mud Pie aesthetic
  • Understanding of the entire design and product development process
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
