Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Design Assistant to join our team at Mud Pie. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our product development process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate fit intent and construction to vendors through detailed fit comments, pattern diagrams, and digital images.
  • Assist in sketching technical flats for women's and baby apparel.
  • Take detailed fit notes and photos of samples during fittings to facilitate comment writing.
  • Support the baby and women's technical team in preparing samples and contributing in fit sessions.
  • Identify potential production, quality, and costing issues and make effective recommendations.
  • Assist in measuring and preparing garments with accuracy before fit sessions.
  • Create HTM templates in PLM for new and existing styles.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong pattern making skills and knowledge of technical design grading.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain and build relationships with overseas vendors.
  • High level of creativity paired with a strong understanding of the Mud Pie aesthetic.
  • Ability to work on deadlines and juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Organization with a dedication to details and final product quality.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
