Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physical Therapy Aide to join our team at Healthcare Employee Services LLC. As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical therapy care delivery team by preparing treatment areas, patients, and equipment for therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physical therapists and physical therapy assistants in preparing treatment areas, patients, and equipment for therapy sessions.
  • Support the development of therapeutic assessments and treatments for patients with sports and orthopedic pathologies.
  • Learn and apply marketing strategies and business management principles within a healthcare setting.
  • Prepare patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, and assisting them into physical therapy apparel or equipment.
  • Provide information to patients by answering questions and requests, and alleviating their fears and concerns.
  • Help treat patients by applying heat packs and ice packs, assisting patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion, tracking walking time and distance, measuring mobility, and performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.
  • Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by keeping sensitive information confidential.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to treatment areas, positioning equipment for therapist access, and positioning patients on equipment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science preferred.
  • 6 months+ related experience preferred.
  • CPR Certification preferred.
