Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Shaft Design Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Co. This is an exciting opportunity to work on designing drive shaft parts and systems that meet the highest standards of performance, quality, reliability, value, and enjoyment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop drive shaft parts and systems that meet targeted schedules and deliver outstanding performance, quality, reliability, value, and enjoyment to our customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, test, factory, purchasing, and suppliers, to achieve performance, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Develop and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA and MS Office, and ensure that designs meet design intentions and provide solutions if necessary.
  • Proactively share development progress with team members and management, and complete all required training and share best practices with peers.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and value creation, and propose solutions that support the company's goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
  • Co-op experience and proficiency in CAD software (CATIA V5/V6) or closely related, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with physical requirements including sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
  • Ability to travel and work overtime as required.
