Position Overview:


The Construction Project Manager will oversee the entire lifecycle of assigned projects, which typically involve commercial and institutional construction valued at $5M or less.


To excel in this position, the ideal candidate should possess a robust set of project management skills, including experience with indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ), Lump-Sum Contracting, and Fast Track contracts.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the construction workflow from project inception through to completion, including estimating, negotiation, contracting, administration, financial oversight, and project closeout.
  • Collaborate with Owners, Design Professionals, and stakeholders to ascertain project requirements and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Handle building permits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor safety, quality, and cleanliness while managing the contracted scope of work.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and oversee cost estimates and proposals related to change management.
  • Create and maintain critical path project schedules to establish a baseline timeline.
  • Implement strategies for subcontracting or self-performing project components to meet objectives regarding cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders as necessary.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management with a minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial or industrial general contracting. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience in estimating and managing both subcontracted and self-performed work activities.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies related to commercial and institutional projects.
- Preferred experience in government contracting.

Preferred Certifications:
- OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR
- Current CQC certification from USACE / NAVFAC
- Professional credentials such as Associate Constructor (AC), Certified Professional Constructor (CPC), or PE in good standing
