Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stadium Events Coordinator to join our team at Tumwater School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of school and community events at the Tumwater Stadium, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for attendees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Setup and Management: Ensure the stadium grandstands are set up properly for events, including protocols for door unlocking, equipment use, and lighting operation.
  • Crowd and Player Management: Oversee crowd and player management in accordance with proper use of the stadium and field.
  • Inventory and Supply Management: Communicate inventory needs to the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds or designee.
  • Security and Safety: Oversee the security of the stadium and fields, including lights, doors, alarms, and proper use of the facility.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the Buildings and Grounds Department.
  • Essential Functions: Demonstrate effective safety procedures, maintain safe working conditions, and comply with safety rules and regulations.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot minor malfunctions of stadium systems, such as scoreboards, PA systems, and field lighting.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain records and submit reports as required.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or administrator.
Requirements
  • Punctuality and Dependability: Demonstrate punctuality and dependability, with the ability to work well with others.
  • Valid Driver's License: Maintain a valid Washington State Driver's License.
Working Conditions

The Stadium Events Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent communication and collaboration with District Athletic Directors, school staff, students, and community groups. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail.
