Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Community Involvement Coordinator to join our team at CCSWW. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating volunteers, planning and implementing fundraising efforts, and assisting in the development of a new culinary training program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, schedule, and train hundreds of volunteers to ensure meals are completed through their efforts. Develop ongoing and new relationships to bring in new volunteers as needed.
  • Fundraising: Plan and implement fundraising events, mailings, and grant writing. Maintain statistics needed to complete grants and search for new grant opportunities.
  • Social Media and Marketing: Update and manage social media and website content. Create content and ideas for ads, announcements, news, and other related materials.
  • Culinary Training Program: Assist in planning and implementing a new culinary training program. Speak to local businesses to gain support for the program and assist in developing and obtaining ongoing funding.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain office supply stock, make routine purchase orders, and complete monthly reports. Generate and maintain all required program records.
Requirements
  • AA Degree or at least 3 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel.
  • At least 1 year of food service experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Current Food Handlers Permit.
  • Proof of negative TB test within the past 12 months and ability to test within the first six months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree with 2-3 years of experience in a similar field.
  • General knowledge of kitchen management, including food safety, worker safety, and inventory acquisition and control.
