Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Therapy Aide to join our team at Orthopedic Centers of Colorado. As a Therapy Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting our Physical Therapists in providing exceptional patient care in an outpatient Orthopedic clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Physical Therapists in conducting therapy sessions and maintaining a smooth clinic flow.
  • Perform scheduling of appointments, chart preparation, and basic insurance requirements.
  • Check patients in, explain financial obligations, collect co-pays, and balance due amounts.
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Records, Clinicient, and Allscripts software.
  • Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and empathy to provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage supplies, fold linens, and perform cleaning and packaging of sterile instruments.
  • Ensure compliance and safety by adhering to all rules and regulations.
  • Administer modalities under therapist guidance and instructions.
Requirements
  • Ability to take initiative, follow verbal instructions, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in Occupational Therapy and/or prior medical experience preferred.
  • Some travel to other clinics may be required.

Working Conditions
  • Typical business office environment.
  • Constant viewing of computer monitor, mousing, and typing.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Frequent stooping, lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling 10 pounds or more.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Hours of business are Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Four, ten-hour shifts with a consistent weekday off.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
