Position Overview

The Lamination Production Specialist is responsible for guiding the lamination team to ensure the safe and efficient production of high-quality laminated materials, adhering to the daily production schedule and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to safe operating procedures and comply with all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain the highest safety standards.
  • Execute tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation, and timeliness, focusing on preventing and eliminating costly errors.
  • Meet attendance requirements, including timely reporting of absences and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Perform complex setup duties, including installation and removal of speedwell, sump setup, and webbing of the coating unit through the web path.
  • Ensure that Non-Equipment Maintenance Performance Metrics (NEMPM) for the lamination machine are met during the shift.
  • Oversee the setup and operation of the lamination machine to laminate roll stock.
  • Inspect materials received from prior operations for accuracy and compliance with specifications, verifying machine setup accordingly.
  • Conduct inspections of the running web and finished rolls.
  • Implement safe loading and unloading practices for unwind and rewind processes.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines and tools.
  • Provide instruction to team members and troubleshoot to maintain maximum efficiency and product quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards, ensuring timely cleanup of spills and disposal of waste.
  • Participate in on-the-job training to learn additional job functions.
  • Comply with company policies and perform other assigned duties.
  • Guide the team to ensure laminated materials are produced safely, effectively, and profitably, while actively participating in continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Strong working knowledge of the lamination process.
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Capability to provide clear instructions to colleagues.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a lamination role.
