About the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE)

Position Summary
The National Electric Energy Testing, Research and Application Center (NEETRAC) is seeking skilled engineering professionals for various roles. This position involves serving as a principal investigator in medium and high voltage testing laboratories, overseeing complex projects funded by industry members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles.
- Collaborate with clients to formulate project proposals based on their technical requirements.
- Conduct practical experimental programs.
- Perform laboratory and field testing, both independently and collaboratively.
- Propose project enhancements to NEETRAC members.
- Analyze utility performance and measurement data.
- Travel for fieldwork and technical discussions as necessary.
Qualifications:
Research Engineer I: Bachelor's degree required.
Research Engineer II: A Master's degree with three years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with five years of experience post-Bachelor's, or a Doctoral degree.
This position is open rank, with final classification based on education and experience.
