Job Summary
The National Electric Energy Testing, Research and Application Center (NEETRAC) is seeking a dynamic and skilled engineering professional to contribute to its mission. This role involves serving as a principal investigator in medium and high voltage testing laboratories, managing increasingly complex projects funded by industry members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles.
- Collaborate with clients to develop tailored project proposals.
- Execute practical experimental programs.
- Conduct laboratory and field testing, both independently and collaboratively.
- Propose project enhancements to NEETRAC members.
- Analyze utility performance and measurement data.
- Travel for fieldwork and technical discussions as necessary.
Qualifications:
Research Engineer I: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Research Engineer II: A Master's degree with three years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree.
This position is open rank, with final designation based on a combination of education and experience.
