Job Summary

The National Electric Energy Testing, Research and Application Center (NEETRAC) is seeking a dynamic and skilled engineering professional to contribute to its mission. This role involves serving as a principal investigator in medium and high voltage testing laboratories, managing increasingly complex projects funded by industry members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in multiple concurrent projects.
  2. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles.
  3. Collaborate with clients to develop tailored project proposals.
  4. Execute practical experimental programs.
  5. Conduct laboratory and field testing, both independently and collaboratively.
  6. Propose project enhancements to NEETRAC members.
  7. Analyze utility performance and measurement data.
  8. Travel for fieldwork and technical discussions as necessary.

Qualifications:

Research Engineer I: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Research Engineer II: A Master's degree with three years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree.

This position is open rank, with final designation based on a combination of education and experience.
