Job Summary

Meade Engineering, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineering Leader to join our team. As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in driving innovation, optimizing processes, and delivering high-quality solutions to our clients across a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Electrical Engineering Department: Oversee aspects of the electrical engineering department, including project management, resource allocation, and talent development.
  • Supervise Electrical Engineers: Lead and supervise a team of electrical engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Collaborate with Clients and Project Managers: Collaborate with clients, project managers, and team members to streamline project workflows, optimize resource allocation, and drive project success.
  • Design Electrical Power Systems: Responsible for designing electrical power systems and performing design calculations for a broad range of project types.
  • Review and Sign Projects: Review, sign, and seal projects.
  • Ensure Project Success: Ensure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines, and on budget.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Technical Skills: Experience designing critical power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of successfully leading and managing electrical engineering teams, delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Electrical Commissioning Experience: Experience with electrical commissioning including factory acceptance testing, script development, IR scanning, load bank testing, generator runs, etc.
  • High Voltage Design Experience: Experience with high voltage designs including substation physical design, protection & controls, SCADA, equipment specification, feeder distribution, redundancy schemes, etc.
