Position Overview

The Training Manager will engage in a comprehensive 10-12 month program, rotating through various departments within Rooms and Food & Beverage to acquire extensive knowledge of operations. Throughout this period, the Training Manager will immerse themselves in three distinct departments, undertaking all roles and shifts to gain hands-on experience. Close collaboration with department managers will be essential to develop supervisory competencies required for effective management.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in rotations across three Rooms and Food & Beverage departments, adapting to seasonal business demands.

• Assume all roles within the departments to understand operational intricacies.

• Conduct regular performance reviews with department managers to assess progress.

• Engage in supervisory skill development through direct mentorship from department managers.

• Undertake department-specific projects as assigned by management.

• Review departmental financials monthly with department managers.

• Complete assigned learning modules facilitated by Human Resources.

• Maintain punctuality and adhere to grooming standards as outlined in company policies.

• Serve as a role model for team members.

• Address guest feedback and communicate with department managers regarding comments or concerns.

• Familiarize oneself with hotel safety, health, and emergency procedures, assisting as needed.

• Attend departmental meetings and complete special projects as directed by management.

• Participate in management training sessions as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• At least one year of experience in the hospitality industry; internships will be considered.

Work Environment

• The role requires the ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods. Candidates should be prepared to work in varying conditions, including wet and humid environments, and navigate potentially slippery surfaces. The ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs is essential.
